This is going to be a quick one, but one that I think has a lot of weight behind it….
As most of you know, I despise running. It’s not that I’m that bad at it…It’s more that I find it boring and redundant, naturally. On the other side of that coin is the the fact that I know that I have to do it in order to stay well-rounded. So, what is a meat-head to do?
Well, I love being in nature and feeling quick, agile and athletic…so rather than running in a straight f*cking line for 30+mins, I have been hitting the trails in Austin for the past two Sundays! The first trail run was just shy of 30mins, and the one I did today was 38mins.
I gotta say, it’s been refreshing to get back out in nature and feel like an animal again. This may sound silly, but the connection to the outdoors runs deep in all of us. It’s important to tap back in to that every once in a while….some need it more than others, but just get out there! It’s also an amazing way to kick your own ass via running, quick cuts, jumping, climbing, etc.
