The title of this post is something that I’ve been telling my athletes lately.
“Machines don’t feel…They just DO!”
It’s important for you to change your perception of yourself when things get a little shitty. I’ll give you an example. Say you’re in a smoker of a sprint SWOD….Your legs, arms, lungs, and mind are all screaming at you! If you can shift your focus from how bad it sucks to transforming to a MACHINE, you’ll find yourself busting through reps. I know this may sound silly or just plain stupid to you, but I don’t give a shit. I don’t care because I know it works! It’s up to you to try it or to continue grinding through your shitty, low-intensity workouts. Your call.
I can tell you this – The elite firefighters that I work with go to that mechanized place every session. These guys and gals move through SWODs like they are on a mission. Pain and weakness is no option. Take a look at this video and see what I mean.
