What’s up guys and gals?! I hope you’re having an outstanding weekend!
I started my Saturday off with a couple team WODs at 6am that definitely got the engine running, so I thought that I would throw some spicy SWODs at my athletes this morning, and pay it forward! The beauty in the workouts that I gave them is that they were all very simplistic in design. It’s my contention that often times the most basic workouts, in regards to programming, are some of the most effective that you’ll do. Why is that? Well, one reason is that if the movements are very intuitive and basic in nature, the athlete does not have to waste time and energy thinking about what needs to happen in order to perform the lift….They just do it! This creates a much higher intensity, and as a result, big returns and fast results.
So, next time you’re training an athlete or client, try the K.I.S.S. principle and see what kind of results come from it.
