Day 274 of 365: Get In Shape…To Get In Shape? WTF?!

Have you ever said this, or heard someone you know say this?

Does this make any F*CKING sense?!  I hope you aware enough to swiftly slap them across the face to snap them out of their temporary brain fart.

It’s ridiculous, but this is one of the biggest reason people put off getting serious about their fitness.  They think that they are so far past any semblance of health that they must first get in shape before they start getting in shape.  Holy shit!!!  If the world ran on that type of reasoning, we would find ourselves in a shit-storm…..oh, wait…

We’ll save my thoughts on that for another post, but you get where I going with this, right?  At some point, you have to consciously stop making F*CKING weak-ass excuses for why you’re not ready to live a life of strength, health, fitness and happiness.  IT’S A SIMPLE CHOICE!  Are you happy with ______ area of your life?  If the answer is “NO”, then BURN THE F*CK*ING BOATS and go strongly in the direction you want to live.  That’s it!  It really is THAT simple.

Go ahead and judge the kid if you want, but he’s got more guts than most Americans today.  He’s got my respect.

Here’s the beauty in the fitness example:  If you do your research and make a smart decision about who/where you train, they will set you up for success.  A good trainer will start you off at an intensity that will challenge you and cause positive adaptations, but not leave you crippled and wondering why the F*CK did I do this silly shit?!

So that’s it. Stop making excuses.  Make a strong decision and burn the boats.  Do your research.  Take action.

Go get the life you want and deserve!
