I know some of you were probably starting to wonder if I had squished myself under a barbell or atlas stone with my recent absence from daily posts. Never fear, I am alive and well. : )
Have you ever had a hour, day, or week where you felt a shift in your energy and focus? A shift that is so powerful that you can’t help but to recognize it? Last week was one of those moments. I felt a shift in my drive and focus that I haven’t had in a while. It was a moment when I realized that I am making shit happen…no matter what.
With that being said, I charged in to the new opening of space full on! One of the teachings of Tony Robbins is that when you are about to stretch and grow as a person, there is a brief moment where a window is open. You have two options at this moment:
1. Hesitate and allow that opportunity to grow and stretch yourself pass
2. CHARGE FORWARD AND BURN THE F*CKING BOATS!!!
Guess which option I am a fan of….
Hahaha! It’s so true, though. You’ve all had those moments present themselves, right? Think back to one of them right now. Re-live that moment for a second. Try to picture the scene, the smells, the sounds, all of it. Now imagine how different your life would be if you had made the opposite choice. This could be that you hesitated to take that moment, or it could be that you charged forward. Either way, play this thing out. Really think about the chain reaction that would’ve taken place if you had chosen differently, for better or worse.
This “exercise” is extremely powerful(if you did it) in training yourself to first, recognize when these “windows” open for us, and secondly, it gives us feedback in order to make the right decision faster. Remember, these windows of opportunity are not guaranteed to stay open. You MUST be able to see them AND charge through them!
My whole point of this tangent was to point out that I had one of these moments that I recognized and charged through. As a result, I found myself going crazy on things that I had been putting off for various reasons. It was time to knock this shit out and STRETCH myself and GROW! Charging through that stuff left little time for me to post quality content for y’all, so I thought it better to focus my energy on stretching and growing so as to better be able to serve y’all!
I hope this all makes sense.
Big things are rolling. I can feel it! I am stoked for the challenges that will surely arise. I know that I will come out a better, stronger person for pursuing what it is that scares me.
