Day of 256 of 365: The Perfect Monday SWOD

As you all know, it’s Monday.

Now, for most of you out there this means that your motivation is low, you probably have a lot on your plate and the last thing you want to do is add so long, boring workout to that “To-Do” list.  Am I right?

If this is hitting pretty close to home, I’d first ask that you somehow alter your view of “Monday”.  Honestly, it’s just another day – another opportunity to make things happen.  Keep in mind that even on your “Mondays”, there are tons of gifts for you to appreciate.  It’s just got to be a conscience decision to stay in the positive.

Once you’ve altered your state, it’s time to think effectively and efficiently.  When it comes down to your workout, let’s make a short, intense, fun session that leaves you feeling better than when you walked in the gym.  Sounds pretty good, right?

Here’s what I would recommend:

5 Rounds:

5 Heavy Russian KB Swings
10 Explosive Lunges

This SWOD will leave you pretty wrecked if you do it right!  Obviously, you can make this as easy or as hard as you want by simply tweaking the reps counts, the weight, etc.  Feel free to customize this thing for how you’re feeling.  Just make sure to hit it hard!  Otherwise, you’re wasting your time….and you have plenty to do on this Monday.
